It is all due to the lack of any scientific evidence and approval have not stopped dietary supplement companies from marketing Hoodia Gordonii extracts with claims that it can lower the blood pressure and reduce the appetite. Goen Technologies Corporation of TrimSpa began marketing Hoodia Gordonii under the brand name X32 though the Food and Drug Administration has notified Trimspa that it has not demonstrated that the product is safe or effective. Canada Health Department has not approved sale of hoodia products and Goen Technologies has also been sued by New Jersey State for misleading consumers. Now the Trimspa brand is currently the subject of a lawsuit in California, which claims that it does not contain any of Hoodia's active ingredients.
TrimSpa claims that their Hoodia product LipoSpa can reduce the amount of fat absorbed from your meal and recommended dosage is 2 capsules to be taken 10-15 minutes before a meal. Each serving contains 500mg Liposan Ultra chitosan, plus 60mg Vitamin C.
